These activities include: 1) structure-based drug design efforts; 2) structural analysis of protein therapeutic candidates; and 3) crystal structure analysis of proteins playing key roles in human disease. Candidates should have a wide range of active skills: protein crystallization and optimization, structure determination by molecular replacement, MIR and/or MAD methods, with experience in a variety of computational programs, experience with home and synchrotron data collection, and the ability to interpret and communicate structural information. Experience/facility with any or all of the following is a plus: protein construct design; cloning, expression and purification of proteins; molecular modeling; biophysical characterization (CD, ITC, SPR). The successful candidate will fit well in a collaborative environment and must exhibit strong leadership and excellent communication skills.
